The four rules of the ledger
Budget first, deposit second
Fix a weekly entertainment budget before opening the app. When it's gone, the session is over — no top-ups, no exceptions.
Never chase losses
A loss is a closed entry, not a debt to win back. Doubling stakes after losing is how entertainment becomes damage.
Money for living never plays
Rent, EMIs, groceries, school fees — if the money has a job, it never touches a game. Never borrow to play.
Time is a stake too
Set a session timer. Late-night marathon sessions correlate strongly with poor decisions and bigger losses.
Warning signs
Problem play rarely announces itself. Check honestly — if two or more of these apply, it's time to pause and talk to someone.
- Hiding play or losses from family and friends
- Depositing more to win back what you lost
- Borrowing money, or delaying bills, to fund deposits
- Playing to escape stress, anxiety or boredom
- Feeling restless or irritable when not playing
- Losing track of time or sessions running past midnight
